Part 1: Cut the data fat
Until a couple of decades ago, it was tough to find good information sources, and so the instinct was to consume as much as possible. But now we have more information than we could ever consume. How should our information diet change based on this abundance?
For example, how valuable is it to read a bunch of frameworks or books around product management? What about around nuclear engineering? A science fiction book? Pretty low value by themselves I would say. The value really comes when action is taken based on that information. And even more value is generated when that action generates some desired outcomes.
So how do you put information into action?
